FOCUS CARE will be your
Employer in the US, and your petitioner for green card processing.
Once a foreign-trained nurse clears NCLEX-RN and IELTS with an
overall band of 6.5 we will commence your Green Card Processing.
It is advisable that
all foreign-trained nurses seeking employment in the US travel
to the US on Green Card. Green Card or Permanent Resident Card
enables a nurse's spouse and unmarried children up to 21 years
of age to also qualify for Green Card. Technically, all Green
Card holders can seek gainful employment in the US and hence his/her
spouse too can commence work without waiting for any work permits.
The broad outline of green card
processing is as described below:
| > |
|
Formal
Application with supporting documents and fee to be submitted
at the USCIS |
| > |
|
Case gets transferred
to the National Visa Center in the US for further processing
and various forms and applications are exchanged with
the concerned authority. |
| > |
|
Official transfer of case from the NVC
to the local US Consulate in your state/country |
| > |
|
This is followed by visa stamping depending
on Priority. |
