BONE DENSITY

  • Bone density testing is used to screen for osteoporosis or a weakening of the bones.
  • The test is done in the home with a simple ultrasound of the arm.
DIABETIC RETINAL EXAM

  • Diabetic retinopathy is the leading cause of blindness in adults 20-64 years of age and occurs in 80% of people who have had diabetes for more than 20 years.
  • Focus Care conducts a retinal eye exam, utilizing a state-of-the-art digital imager to capture images of the retina for review and diagnosis by a board-certified retinal specialist.
FECAL IMMUNOCHEMICAL TEST (FIT)
  • Colon and rectum cancers are the second leading cause of cancer death in the United States. The Fecal Immunochemical Test is a screening for colorectal cancer which tests for hidden blood in the stool — an early sign of cancer.
  • Focus Care provides a FIT kit then follows up with the member to ensure the test is completed.
MICROALBUMIN

  • Urine microalbumin level refers to small amounts of albumin, a serum protein that may be found in the urine. This can be an early sign of diabetic kidney damage.
  • Focus Care collects a urine sample for lab testing to detect signs of kidney disease.
